A beautiful -- and TUNEFUL -- visitor from the distant past. This Victor II is a stunning example of an early 20th-century music machine. The original Victor-made oak horn is especially noteworthy. These "smooth surface" wooden horns were specifically designed for the II, and featured some of the very best quarter-sawn oak figures in the wood that Victor offered.
The original Victor decal. Original finish on the horn.

The beautiful oak cabinet with original factory finish.

The gold filligree decoration on the back bracket is praqcrically brand-new, like trhe other components of ths instrument, which are all clean, bright and undamaged. The hardware shines! We meticulously rebuilt the soundbox (needlehead) to play loudly and clearly. Overall condition is startingly fresh.

Inside is a powerful spring motor. The motor is, of course, spic and span -- it will play your 78s smoothly and reliably. We have installed a new mainspring for maximum power. Can you imagine the kind of filthy, jury-rigged, worn-out junk you find on eBay? Our commitment to quality is an antidote to online monstrosities from amateur dealers who overstate their experience.

In short, the machine looks and IS a venerable and well- restored antique. This is a strong, reliable instrument, with a spring motor and expertly calibrated sound box that produce high quality sound from your 78 rpm records. An original, sleek and sonorous Victor oak wooden horn to produce the best from your 78s. Condition! Condition! Condition! A knock-out!
