A beautiful -- and TUNEFUL --
visitor from the distant past. This
Victor III is a stunning example of an early 20th-century music
machine. The original Victor-made oak horn is especially noteworthy.
The beautiful oak cabinet.
The gold and blue filligree decoration on the back bracket is histotically accurate and correct -- we always restore within authentic guidlines. The hardware shines! We meticulously rebuilt the soundbox (needlehead) to play loudly and clearly. The "His Master's Voice" trademark decal on the horn, these decals are handmade by a friend who specializes in perfection, no shortcuts!.
Inside is a powerful, double-spring motor. The motor is, of course, spic and span -- it will play your 78s smoothly and reliably. We have installed two new mainsprings for maximum power. Can you imagine the kind of filthy, jury-rigged, worn-out junk you find on eBay? Our commitment to quality is an antidote to online monstrosities from amateur dealers who overstate their experience.
In short, the machine looks and IS a venerable and well- restored antique. This is a strong, reliable instrument, with a double-spring motor that produces high quality sound from your 78 rpm records. An a original, sleek and sonorous Victor oak wooden horn to produce the best from your 78s. A knock-out!
